Celebrating International Coaching Week.

Celebrating International Coaching Week.

This week the global community has come together to celebrate and share the transformative power of coaching during International Coaching Federation's International Coaching Week, May 13th to 17th. The week-long event brings together coaches, clients, and enthusiasts from around the globe to honor the impact coaching can have on individuals and organizations. International Coaching Week spans the globe with insightful webinars and workshops as well as thought-provoking panel discussions and networking opportunities.? In a dynamic exchange of ideas, strategies, and best practices aimed at fostering personal and professional growth, it is our intention to add to the awareness and conversation about the global impact of Health, Wellness, and Medical Coaching.?

Our team of Global Wellness Institute Thought Leaders from the Wellness Coaching Initiative (Part of the Global Wellness Institute) share their answers to this question:?

“What is ONE thing about Health and Wellness Coaching that you would like to help our readers understand, explore, test, or discover?”?

?“I would like to help our readers understand Health and Wellness Coaching as a process to discover the power every person has over their own health, a journey, not a destiny.” M. Carolina Tuma PhD, NBHWC

“I would like to help our readers understand the how the integrative nature of an individual's lived experience - the bio-psycho-emotional-social-spiritual-environmental influences - interact to impact their health and how health coaching can support and enable self-empowerment for individual agency and action towards health creation.” Izabella Natrins

“I would like to help our readers discover how wellness coaching enables people to live their lives consciously with and beyond cancer.” Andrew Parsons PhD, CWP, RHC

“As a doctor and health and wellness coach, one key aspect of health and wellness coaching that I want our readers to understand is the integration of mental and emotional health into overall wellbeing. HWC doesn’t just focus on physical health but emphasizes the interconnection of mind and body. Exploring this relationship can help individuals recognise the huge impact of stress, emotions, and mental health on physical well-being, leading to more comprehensive and effective health strategies.” Dr. Katrina Gisbert Tay

"I would like to help our readers understand how Wellness Coaching is an essential component of ALL Coaching (leadership, career, executive…), because if you don't “FEEL” good, you cannot “DO” good.” Ellen Kocher (BSE, MAHWC, ICF MCC, NBHWC)

“I would like to help our readers understand that Health and Wellness Coaching plays a critical role in healthy employees, healthy culture and healthy business.? By supporting employees, social, emotional, mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing, individuals will thrive more often, all impacting an individual's ability to feel well, live well and contribute to their potential.” Jocelyn Pepe, MSc. RHC.

"Explore your optimal path to well-being with curiosity and self-compassion. Your journey of wellness is unique, and discovering what works best for you is the secret to flourishing. Through a coaching partnership, you'll be empowered to invest in your health through self-awareness and courageous experimentation, building resilience at every stage of life." Beth Romanski

“I would like to help our readers understand or explore or test or discover….that health and wellness coaching is the best way of helping them tap into their own motivation to change as opposed to all these reasons why they should live a certain way.? It can help them determine how they want to live, not how they should live, and their HW coach will simply be the conduit and catalyst for those discoveries!” Fiona Cosgrove

“I would like to help our readers understand that Health and Wellness Coaching is more than just preventing illness, it is the way we embody our fullest potential and goodness on a physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and social level.” Shiri Ben-Arzi - PMC, MCC

I’m inspired by the ways we responded to the question about Health and Wellness Coaching…all very inspirational, but so much potential for variation to support a wider range of client needs.
