Recognizing excellence in pollinator protection across Europe

Since its inception in 2014, the European Bee Award has been a distinguished platform recognizing innovative projects dedicated to preserving pollinators across Europe. Founded by the European Landowners’ Organization (ELO) in partnership with the European Agricultural Machinery Industry Association (CEMA), this award highlights forward-thinking, effective, and scalable approaches to safeguarding biodiversity. As we face mounting environmental challenges, this initiative emphasizes the critical importance of pollinators in maintaining ecosystem health and promoting sustainable agriculture. This year’s European Bee Award Ceremony, hosted in the European Parliament by MEP Paulo do Nascimento Cabral, will award exceptional projects across three major categories:?

1. Land Management Practices – a €4,000 prize for initiatives implementing sustainable and effective land management practices that directly benefit pollinators and biodiversity.
2. Innovative Technological Solutions – another €4,000 prize for forward-thinking technological advancements designed to protect and support pollinator populations.
3. Special Mention of the Jury – an honorary diploma recognizing outstanding contributions to pollinator protection, reflecting the high regard of the jury for the project’s potential impact.
