Celebrating Global Recycling Day: Our Commitment to a Sustainable Earth

On this Global Recycling Day, we take a moment to reflect and acknowledge the significance of recycling in our world. However, for us at WishingUWell, every day is a celebration of recycling and sustainability. Our commitment to environmental stewardship has led us to recycle an astounding 130,000 pounds of cardboard each year. To put that into perspective, that's equivalent to the average weight of 43 Priuses! This fun fact highlights our dedication to turning waste into resources and reducing our carbon footprint.

But our sustainability efforts don't stop at recycling. We continuously explore innovative ways to reduce waste in all aspects of our operations. One of these includes embracing biodegradable and compostable packaging where practical. This allows us to minimize our impact on the environment without compromising on the quality of our packaging.

To further enhance our waste reduction initiatives, our unique procedures employ less plastic film compared to conventional methods. We optimize our packaging process but also significantly decrease our plastic usage, thereby contributing to a cleaner and healthier planet. While we're proud of the strides we've made, we believe there's always room for improvement. We strive to continually better our practices in the interest of preserving our planet for future generations.

We also extend our gratitude to our partner companies who share our vision for a sustainable Earth. One such company is Dr. Bronner’s, known for their eco-friendly body and home care products. They are a shining example of sustainability in action, using 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles for their products. In addition, they have innovatively introduced refill cartons for their soaps, designed with 82% less plastic per quart. These efforts by Dr. Bronner’s perfectly align with our mission to tread lightly on the Earth.
