How will you celebrate this great milestone?

L.L.: ‘' We actually have two celebrations. It’s a celebration of GamePoint Bingo game and our mascot, Binky, who’s also celebrating his “birthday.” Therefore, for these two occasions, we have planned plenty of celebrations both internally and for our players. For us as a team, we look back at all the progress we’ve made, from web to mobile, new features we implemented, how we maintained the game and kept it entertaining for so long, and not to mention how we kept our players happy at the same time. For the players, it’s basically a way to celebrate their hobby, which is playing Bingo on their favorite platform, and to celebrate the people that they’ve met in our game. Plus, this celebration is also a good excuse for us to just spoil our players with all the new content that we’ve been working on.''

Tell us a bit about the history of GamePoint Bingo

L.L.: ''When Binky was just a little baby, the game was only on web, so you could only play the game on the computer. Technology was not as advanced back then, so first, we launched our game only on web for our Dutch players on Spelpunt.nl. After a couple of years, the game, the website and the community grew both in content and geographically. We started to target more countries and became bigger and available on different platforms such as Facebook and other partners. That made us grow and eventually, we moved to a smartphone and mobile applications so we started reaching even more people and thus letting them play in even more places at any time of the day. Due to all these technologies and societal changes, our reach and our content have grown a lot in the past 15 years. However, we always stayed true to our core gameplay which is a simple, traditional multi-player Bingo game. We created a lot of features around the game to make it more exciting for our players. As unfortunately not everyone can win the Bingo, as it is at random and not controlled, we decided to make it more fun for each player even if you don’t win the big pot. We implemented other fun features such as collections where players could collect items and receive rewards just for participating, daubing, and progressing. Also, over time we’ve added a lot of options to personalize the game, for instance, the dauber, the stamp that you use to mark your card. We always make sure that we have a big inventory with more and more content so players can find daubers that fit their mood, style or, simply just bring them luck.

Did you implement a lot of visual changes throughout the years?

L.L.: ''As the months and years have passed, we have put in a lot of energy to modernize visuals. So make sure to celebrate not only the anniversary, but any calendar event. From Valentine’s Day, Easter, Summer, Halloween, Christmas or any other holidays. We managed to improve a lot of visuals and content throughout the years, always with our core value in mind which is to bring players together and be very oriented to the community. Therefore, we also changed the layout where the chat is taking more and more space on the screen to give players more options to express themselves. There are features in place, such as the addition of clubs, that help players connect and play together. Moreover, players can play together, chat together with a small group of friends but also have challenges/missions that they can work on together to receive a reward. We also added more exciting ways to get free coins everyday through Wheel of Fortune, features such as Personal Missions, and some temporary events like our Event Roads where you collect a currency depending on the theme of the event to progress and therefore collect more rewards such as Coins or Bingo Cards. So with this being said, there have been a lot of improvements with regards to all aspects of the game from visuals, to the gameplay experience, as well as regarding the chat and the social aspects of the game. While these may change, we always make decisions with our core gameplay in mind.''

What inspires you when creating content?

L.L: ‘'We have a lot of ideas coming from every side. One of them is the voice of our players. We’ve been online for 15 years and we are fortunate to have a very dedicated player base. Some players have been with us since the beginning so it’s important we listen to them. We want to stay true to the game they’ve grown to love, but we also want to keep things fresh and updated. When it comes to the players, our Community Managers work closely with them to share feedback on what works well and what doesn’t. Furthermore, of course, in every team we have some experts in the field, so we have some UA/UX experts and artists that also have ideas from their expertise. And then we look at the market and its trends, not only in the gaming industry but throughout all industries and social changes. What we’ve learned is that inspiration can come from anybody, anywhere and at any moment.''

What are your goals for the future?

L.L.: My big wish, if I had to blow the candles on the cake, would be for another 15 years of successful GamePoint Bingo, with its core value still intact. We just want to make our players happy and keep them entertained so we can continue to nurture the bond between us and them.''

What can players expect from this Anniversary and It’s on us! campaigns?

L.L.: ''We create and execute a lot of campaigns for our players, and one thing that always inspires me without fail is none other than the Christmas spirit! We want to provide the classic Christmas feeling where anything is possible and to spoil our community whenever we can. We want to have this feeling all year long. During every event, we want to try and replicate this Christmas feeling where anything is possible and we do our best to spoil players wherever we can. We have a Dream Team of Community Managers whose main goal is to engage with our very engaged Community and make players happy, even to make dreams come true. For people that follow our history, we’ve had players in the past who have received the opportunities to go to fancy dinners, a trip on a hot-air balloon, a helicopter ride, go on a fabulous cruise and so much more! So to answer the question, we all went through the COVID-19 crisis and our platform proved to be a great place for our players to keep social contact, share their challenges but also their happy moments. Now, however, it’s no secret that the costs of living have been increasing. Therefore, the question for us was: How can we really make our players happy at this moment? Well, by helping them financially of course! The idea was that our players can tell us a little story about themselves and about a purchase they made recently - it could be for a medical bill, an electrical bill, a new phone, and so on! Once they do so, GamePoint Bingo could reimburse the purchase for them and in turn, help our Community the best we can. We already have more than 100 very happy winners who have shared beautiful stories with us and who have had their receipts reimbursed! We are happy that we can support them and give something unique back to our very loyal community of players.''
