Celebrating Excellence: Women in Cloud Awarded Showstopper Title at Microsoft Supplier Prestige Awards 2024!

In celebration of Women's History Month and our recent Guinness World Record for the largest community dedicated to empowering women in tech, we are thrilled to announce another monumental achievement.

On Feb. 29, 2024, Microsoft Corp. held a virtual red-carpet celebration showcasing supplier achievements and revealing the winners of the 2024 Microsoft Supplier Prestige Awards. The event was hosted by Albert Dankwa, Content Program Manager, Xbox, and Oumaima Talouka, Product Manager, Microsoft.

The third annual Microsoft Supplier Prestige Awards recognize suppliers that exemplify the pillars of strategy, priority, agility and modernization in the arenas of sustainability, accessibility, inclusion, representation and community. Aligning with Microsoft values, the awards seek to instill a sense of partnership across the supplier ecosystem.

We are thrilled to announce that Women in Cloud has been crowned as the Showstopper of the Year at the prestigious Microsoft Supplier Prestige Awards 2024. This accolade, under the category of "Response & Representation," is a testament to our unwavering commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within the tech industry.

Women in Cloud has been recognized for its significant contributions towards building a more inclusive ecosystem through innovative advocacy, comprehensive learning and development programs, and vibrant community activation. Our efforts have consistently aimed at surpassing industry standards in representation, driving meaningful change across the tech landscape.

This year, we were honored to stand among an impressive roster of finalists, including Harman Connected Services, PricewaterhouseCoopers, SAP America, and World Wide Technology.

Being selected as the winner from such a distinguished group of nominees further highlights the impact of our initiatives and the progress we are making towards a more diverse and inclusive industry.

Our journey is inspired by the belief that representation and access is not just a goal but a cornerstone of innovation and success in the AI economy.

This award is a recognition of our collective efforts and the incredible support from our community, partners, and allies. It reinforces our resolve to continue pushing the boundaries, advocating for equity, and empowering women in the cloud and beyond.
