Celebrating Excellence in Leadership

Yesterday we brought our Marist180 team from across Queensland, NSW and ACT to a hybrid afternoon tea (virtual and in-person) with our Board Directors. The last time we could gather physically at our La Valla campus in Blacktown was in June prior to the Greater Sydney lockdowns.

We took the opportunity to recognise the awesome efforts of our COVID Emergency Response Team. They stood up back in March 2020 and have continued to support our teams continuously for the last 21 months 24/7 - every day of the week without fail and alongside their substantive roles. In turn this kept our young people safe and secure.

Along with our Acting Board Chair Barbara Perry, and Board Members Br Michael Callinan and Br Anthony Robinson, it was a privilege to present the Cura Personalis - Excellence in Leadership Awards. The Award highlights team members who:

• Provided excellence in service to support our team members and clients during the COVID pandemic.
• Were a role model for promoting positive system changes to keep our team members and clients safe.
• Discovered new and innovative ways to collaborate with our team members, clients and the broader community.
• Supported our teams to work collaboratively to improve health outcomes of impacted staff and clients.
• Consistently demonstrated our Marist characteristics in the face of a global crisis.
