Celebrating Excellence and Inspiration: A Conversation with Mariah Soilis, Paralegal at Levy Tsotsis Attorneys:

Our Paralegal Mariah- was asked to talk about her experience with our office- you can read what she has to say about working with our #dreamteam! ?

Interviewer: Good day, everyone! Today, we have the privilege of sitting down with Mariah an exceptional member of our legal team. Mariah, could you share a bit about your journey with our firm?

Mariah: Thank you for having me. It's been an incredible journey so far. I joined Levy Tsotsis as a paralegal in September 2022 and from day one, I've been fortunate to work with an amazing team that truly values collaboration and dedication. I’ve been giving opportunities to be extremely involved in a wide variety of cases which has allowed me to grow my skill set as a paralegal.

Interviewer: It’s fantastic to hear that! Could you tell us about some of the types of cases you've been involved in?

Mariah: Of course, I've had the privilege of working on a diverse range of cases, from complex litigation to intricate legal research. One of the highlights was assisting Me Levy in a complex labour file where I learned a great deal about the intricacies of the legal process in employment law. I was also given the opportunity to work very closely with Me Tsotsis, who has a strong practise in family law and civil ligation.

?Interviewer: It sounds like you've made quite an impact. Now, rumor has it that your experience here inspired you to take a remarkable step. Could you share more about that?

?Mariah: Absolutely. Being surrounded by such talented attorneys and engaged in meaningful legal work ignited a passion for the law within me. Witnessing their dedication and expertise inspired me to pursue my dream of becoming a lawyer myself. So, I've decided to embark on a journey to law school and continue contributing to the legal field – I’ll be starting my first semester at the University of Ottawa in September 2023!

?Interviewer: That's truly inspiring! Mariah, could you tell us how your time at Levy Tsotsis has prepared you for this next chapter in your career?

?Mariah: Working at?Levy Tsotsis has been invaluable. I've not only gained practical experience and legal knowledge but also learned about the importance of attention to detail, effective communication, and maintaining a strong work ethic. The support and mentorship I've received here have given me the confidence to take this step towards law school.

?Interviewer: It's evident that your growth has been nurtured here. Lastly, Mariah, what advice would you give to aspiring paralegals or individuals considering a legal career?

?Mariah: I'd advise them to immerse themselves in every opportunity that comes their way. Whether it's researching cases, drafting documents, or observing courtroom proceedings, every experience adds to your skill set. Don't be afraid to ask questions, seek guidance, and most importantly, believe in your potential to make a difference in the legal world.
