"Celebrating Excellence in Anatomy & Physiology Exhibition: - First Place Winner!"

The Nightingale Group of Institutions organized an Anatomy & Physiology Exhibition titled "Human Body – A Learning Platform" on the 6th and 7th of February, 2025, at the college campus. The event was designed to foster a deeper understanding of human anatomy and physiology through interactive exhibits and presentations.

Three teams, each consisting of ten enthusiastic students from the B.Pharm I semester, participated in the following competitions:

1. Working model Competition- A working model of neuron, transmitting the signal through the below parts were made. Dendrites: These branch-like structures receive incoming signals from other neurons. Cell Body (Soma): The received signals are then processed in the cell body. Axon: The action potential travels along the axon. When it reaches the axon terminals, it triggers the release of neurotransmitters. The model was made from a variety of material like rubber, plaster, silicon, Thermocol, etc… Electrical accessories like lights and motors were used. The team consisted of 4 participants Mohamed Absal Arunkumar Arunkumar @S.SAMPATH KUMAR AND @P.PRAVIN. Your model is not just a testament to your talent, but also to the countless hours of effort and perseverance you put into bringing your vision to life. Keep pushing boundaries and reaching for the stars.
2. Poster Presentation Competition- The poster presentation was done on the theme of Renal physiology, entitled "Nephrons at Work: A Journey Through Renal Physiology". The poster included the importance of renal physiology with an explanation on various parts, different steps in physiology, abnormalities and conclusion. I am thrilled to share that the team consisting of Mohamed Niyas , Mohammed Asif and aakash sivaselvi have been awarded first prize in the Poster Presentation along with Cash prize of Rs.15000/-. This recognition is a testament to your hard work, dedication, and passion you have poured into this endeavor

3. Solid Model Exhibit Competition-

The model was meticulously crafted about Kidney. Kidney is an essential organ that plays a crucial role in filtering waste and excess fluids from the blood.

Key Features of the Model included

• Anatomical Accuracy: The model showcased the different parts of the kidney, including the cortex, medulla, and renal pelvis, with precise details.
• Educational Value: The presentation was designed to be informative, highlighting the importance of kidney health and the impact of diseases such as chronic kidney disease. The model presentation focused on the kidney was prepared and presented by the team comprising of Anbu Selvi , Dharani SR and Sajitha Sajitha .I would like to express by heartfelt thank you to the team for inspiring us with your passion and commitment. Your success is a reminder that with determination and hard work, anything is possible.
