Celebrating Earth Month 2024: How We Turned Trash into Trees

April was a month of monumental impact at Leaving a Legacy!

In alignment with Earth Day's theme, 'Planet vs Plastic,' our global community united to combat plastic pollution through our Trash for Trees Challenge. Participants from El Camino in Portugal to Nairobi in Kenya dedicated themselves to cleaning up their surroundings, with every bag of trash collected resulting in a new tree planted.

Through this initiative and in collaboration with grassroots partners like Latewa Arts in Kenya, we planted over 500 trees, transforming urban spaces and promoting sustainable development. This effort not only enhances biodiversity but also improves air quality, mitigates flooding, and supports local livelihoods.

Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond Earth Month. We're thrilled to announce that the Trash for Trees Challenge will continue year-round, ensuring ongoing environmental stewardship. Whether you're an individual looking to make a daily impact or a community planning a cleanup event, we're here to support your efforts.

Join us in leaving a lasting legacy for future generations. Learn more about our initiatives and how we can help your business meet its CSR and ESG goals.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making Earth Month 2024 a success. Together, we're proving that collective action can create genuine and measurable change!
