Celebrating Diversity and Harmony: Silverlake Axis’ Raya Buffet Luncheon and Eid Photo Frenzy!

Last Tuesday at Silverlake Axis, the usual hum of programming and planning gave way to the clatter of dishes and the buzz of excited conversations as we celebrated Hari Raya with a special buffet luncheon. With a delightful spread of both traditional and innovative cuisines, the buffet tables bowed under the weight of our collective culinary expectations (and later, our plates!).

Adding color to our feast, every team member donned our traditional Malay clothes turning the office into a vibrant tapestry of cultural attire. It’s not every day you see such a runway-worthy display of traditional fashion at a tech company! The commitment to cultural dress was impressive, though the jury’s still out on who wore it best.

If there were awards for enthusiasm, we’d all be gold medalists.

With an ongoing Eid photo competition, every corner of our office transformed into impromptu photo studios. From group selfies that were more like elbow wars, to candid shots capturing laughter and joyous mingling, creativity soared. Team members were seen angling for the best shots, proving that:

While we might be techies by profession, we are all photographers at heart during festive seasons.

One overheard comment that still brings a smile: “Let’s make sure our project deliverables are as well executed as these photo compositions!”

As we return to our desks, filled with good food and even better memories, we carry with us the reminder of our shared bonds and the joy of our collective celebration. Silverlake Axis’ Hari Raya celebration was more than just a meal; it was a testament to the unity and diversity that thrive within our walls.
