Celebrating Daughters: Every Day

Daughters Day is a special occasion celebrated in many parts of the world to honor and appreciate the role of daughters in families. It's a day when parents and family members take a moment to express their love, support, and gratitude towards their daughters. However, the beauty of this celebration lies in the fact that parents never make their daughters feel that every day is not Daughter Day.

I am very lucky and privileged as my parents have always been there for in terms of caring and value, and I cherish these moments with them. My parents always provided love, guidance, and support irrespective of any specific day on the calendar. Even today my father is there all the time for me and I know that my mum is watching me from up there and saying I am here betu. The love between parents and daughters is a constant, unwavering bond that doesn't rely on a single day of celebration. I have 2 siblings ( brothers) and I am the middle child so possibly the joker (: of the family but there has never been a moment that we have not felt as children who did not have opportunity or love. It was just an everyday of everything good or bad for all of us.

Daughters Day serves as a reminder to acknowledge and celebrate the importance of daughters in our lives, but it should not be the only day when we express our affection and gratitude. Instead, it is a day to reinforce the idea that love and appreciation for daughters should be a daily practice. Parents strive to create an environment where their daughters feel loved, valued, and cherished daily, making it unnecessary to rely on a specific date to remind them of their significance.

In conclusion, Daughters Day is a beautiful occasion, but it should serve as a reminder of the ongoing love and support that parents provide to their daughters throughout the year. Every day is an opportunity to make daughters feel special, and parents understand that this constant love is what truly matters.

I have always wondered about a phenomenon unique in India. A male progeny to carry on the lineage. This is not only legendary but written ad nauseum. But I am yet to come across any father who does not adore his daughter(s). And the daughters reciprocate the father's love in equally abundant measure, bordering on partality. Most parents these days are more certain that they would be looked after by their daughters in old age, while they cannot say the same of their sons with total confidence. What triggers the father-daughter bond ... the thought that the latter will surely leave one day the parental home and seek to compensate for it? Sons me included, I did not mean or imply that all sons are falling over each other to send their parents to retirement homes. If anyone is offended, my apologies.
