Celebrating Community and Sustainability

Celebrate community, connection, and clean air at the City of Irvine's first-ever car-free open streets event, CicloIrvine.

The event takes place this Saturday, May 4, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. along nearly two miles on Barranca Parkway and Harvard Avenue and highlights the City's commitment to community engagement, sustainability, and environmentally conscious means of travel.

We invite you to join us and experience Irvine's public spaces and local business in a new and reimagined way by biking, running, strolling, or walking the event route – really any means of transportation besides cars.

The event will include engaging activities for all with with live music, art, performances, and food.

Route Information

If you live or work on the CicloIrvine route, please note the following restrictions during the closure hours:

  • Street closures will begin at 7 a.m. and last until 6:30 p.m.
  • There will be no street parking along the route, which will be closed to car traffic from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (approximately) for the event.
  • Most driveways along the route will be closed as well from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Keep a look out for signs to indicate driving detours.

Take the Irvine CONNECT shuttle to CicloIrvine. The stops closest to the event are Barranca at Creek and W Yale Loop at Barranca. We hope to see you at the event! For more information and an event schedule, visit cityofirvine.org/cicloirvine .
