Celebrating Chef Paul Prudhomme: A Legacy of Flavour

Many years ago, Shalit Foods Inc. made the decision to partner with a legend to become the Canadian national foodservice importer of Chef Paul Prudhomme’s Magic Seasoning Blends. Each blend has an all natural mix of seasonings – free of gluten, preservatives, or MSG type items that can elevate and compliment your meal in a masterful way.

And that sums up Chef Prudhomme: a master of his craft who impacted the culinary world immensely with his presence and created some of the finest clean-label spices on the market. This Louisiana legend made waves with his Creole and Cajun cuisine, and is often attributed with popularizing these flavours.

This week we are celebrating his life, and how he was devoted to making others happy through his food: influencing thousands of chefs, and satisfying millions with his culinary creations.

I met Paul on a number of occasions at a number of food shows. He was a wonderful man and I dearly loved his Cajun Spice which I use on my Cajun Shrimp recipe. Being a Chef it is all about the flavour. We will miss Paul.
