Celebrating Business Growth
This evening I, alongside Moni Talks Founder and Chairman Brendan Beeken FInstSMM , will be attending one of the leading events to celebrate business growth in the UK.
The Scale-Up Awards recognises high-growth companies which have navigated the tough economic and trading conditions. It also showcases the entrepreneurs who run these businesses and who have encouraged innovation, job creation, and growth this year.
Part of our reason for attending is that the Scale-Up Awards is organised by Business Leader and Moni Talks sponsors another of its events, the Go:Tech Awards .
However, even if that was not the case, this is an occasion Brendan and I would travel to anyway.
Anyone who has followed the Moni Talks story and subscribes to the Beyond the Boardroom newsletter will know that we keenly support #business growth. We know, first hand, what it takes to grow an enterprise from the acorn of an idea to an oak tree of the industry.
Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our team, Brendan’s concept of redefining and disrupting the #cryptocurrency industry is gaining traction. We have grown from some scribbled notes and one person’s idea to a #crypto platform which delivers independent and researched news, information, and data to an ever-growing number of visitors.
Of course, it hasn’t been easy. We have stood up for measured #regulation, improved education, and greater responsibility in the cryptocurrency space. These values have not been welcomed by all industry insiders! We, like many others, have endured the impact of the 2022 ‘crypto winter’. Moni Talks has launched into a crowded and competitive market and yet has made its voice heard.
So, we understand what it takes to achieve growth and that’s why we are joining the Scale-Up Awards tonight to celebrate what businesses across the #UK have done.
Entries have been assessed by a panel of judges comprising senior business and community figures selected for their expertise and professionalism. They include Low Profile founder Touker Suleyman , PensionBee UK co-founder Jonathan Lister Parsons , HomeServe EMEA CEO Richard Harpin , By Caprice founder Caprice Bourret , Hubble managing partner Rebekah Brooks , Verity Brown , managing director of The Specialist Works , Uber and Moonpig non-executive director Susan Hooper , and investors Piers Linney and Alpesh Patel . There are many other luminaries on the panel.
Among the 15 award category winners that will be announced at the Tobacco Dock London this evening, the one I’m possibly looking forward to most is Technology Scale-Up of the Year. For Moni Talks, 2023 is going to be another year of rapid growth and expansion as a tech company, so I’m fascinated to hear how others have managed their scale-up process.

In the latest #SEC vs Ripple news, the Blockchain Association has come out in favour of Ripple Labs as it continues its legal battle with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission . The US crypto advocacy group argues that the case is critical to the future of the crypto sector.
