Celebrating Black History Month
United Way of Erie County
Together, with you, we're on a MISSION to CRUSH POVERTY in Erie, PA
Thanks to United Way funding, students at East Middle School, a United Way Community School were able to enjoy the sounds of the Ethnic Heritage Ensemble right in their school auditorium. This opportunity was identified as being an enrichment opportunity for students that is directly aligned to in-class learning. The opportunity and community connection was secured through the Community School Leadership Team and music department at East.
A Shared Heritage invites you to discover key people, places, and events associated with the history of African Americans in Erie County, Pennsylvania, and learn how they contribute to the economic, political, and cultural broader story of our region. Read more.
