Celebrating Black History Month – and trailblazers such as Donna A. James

 This month, we celebrate the contributions of African Americans to our history and society and reflect on achievements made in every field – from business to politics, community, arts, science, sports, literature, and so much more.

 A diverse culture is what drives Nationwide’s success and has allowed us to deliver to our members, associates and communities. Throughout this month, Nationwiders are hosting various events to celebrate Black History Month and are pausing to acknowledge the many trailblazers who came before us and the impact they have made, and continue to make, on our company and in our communities. Trailblazers such as Donna A. James – retired Nationwide executive – whose game changing leadership, strong advocacy for others, and inspiring nature has made an incredible difference for so many.  

I look forward to participating in many of these events. I hope everyone will be inspired to pause, to reflect and celebrate the many achievements and events of our history.
