Celebrating Black History Month!

February is Black History Month, an annual celebration of achievements by African-Americans and a time for recognizing their important role in U.S. history. 

Rodeo Realty fully supports the principles of the Fair Housing Act, which prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status and national origin when renting or buying a home, getting a mortgage, seeking housing assistance or engaging in other housing-related activities. 

In 1968, the Fair Housing Act was signed into law, thanks to the initial efforts of Senator Edward Brooke of Massachusetts, the first African-American ever to be elected to the Senate by popular vote. 

Today, the Fair Housing Act stands as the final great legislative achievement of the civil rights era, and serves as a shining example of what’s possible when we work together for everyone’s mutual benefit.
