Celebrating Black History Month

We kicked off our series of Black History Month celebrations at Nationwide with an outstanding event that included education, dance, song, fashion and more – an amazing display of black history from past, present and even future. We were overjoyed by the turnout and the appreciation for one another’s similarities and all that makes us unique.

I’ve included some photos of the event – I wish I could share all of the pictures with you, but you can see that Nationwiders were engaged as we paused to celebrate BHM. Also note in the pictures that our CEO, Kirt Walker, and I tried to play the drums – not very well… but the real drummers were excellent.

A special thanks to Angela Bretz, Kristi Rodriguez, Chris Hawley, Jennifer Parker, our associate resource groups, and all of the amazing models and volunteers – as well as the many Nationwiders who came together to make this event such a success. It was simply amazing – and we look forward to the rest of this month’s events.
