As a BLACK AMERICAN WOMAN, Black history is everyday and I will continue highlighting Black Owned brands in everything I do: ?I am a BLACK OWNED brand and it’s simply the right thing to do. February is here, and you know what that means – it’s Black History Month! But let’s keep it real for a second: Black excellence isn’t confined to a single month. It’s a daily celebration! So, while we’re turning up the volume this February, I’m here to remind you that Black history, achievements, and contributions deserve the spotlight every single day!

This year, I’m putting the spotlight on Black-owned beauty brands—from haircare to skincare, makeup, and wellness. These trailblazers are redefining beauty standards, celebrating diversity, and making sustainability look damn good!

Today, let’s highlight hair care brands. These brands are transforming what it means to care for curls, coils, and kinks, all while being champions for inclusivity and eco-consciousness. From luxurious oils to game-changing hydration treatments, they’re giving textured hair the love and respect it’s always deserved—and doing it sustainably.?

Did you know? Approximately 50% of hair products marketed to Black women contain endocrine-disrupting chemicals, such as parabens and phthalates, compared to just 7% of products marketed to white women?
