BNI UK and Ireland Conference and Awards
Earlier this month, five members of the BNI Scotland West team attended the BNI UK & Ireland Leader’s Conference in Birmingham. Our Executive Director Rob Copeland gave a powerful and rousing talk about his journey with BNI, the roaring success that is our Nexus chapter, and the charity Rob and his wife Jenny have founded, Megan’s Space.
Area Director Scott Cuthbertson also delivered a brilliant talk about growing BNI chapters, leaving us with the brilliant #BeMoreShark message - keep moving or die! The event was rounded off with a fantastic awards ceremony, where Scott won the Area Director Consultant of the Year Award, for the second year in a row! This is such an amazing achievement considering all the talented individuals nominated alongside him.
We also want to congratulate Dawn who was nominated in the Best Director Consultant of the Year category. Dawn, thank you so much for all your hard work this year (and every year!) All of our attendees left the conference with a whole host of great ideas to bring back to their chapters, so listen in to their upcoming Education Slots.
More Visitors = More Business
“Summer isn’t a great time to bring visitors”… “Everyone is too busy in December”… “No one joins up in January”… Yup, we’ve heard it all and we’ve looked at the stats; none of these are correct! People consistently visit and join BNI throughout the year. So now that those excuses are out of the way, let’s get inviting.
We know inviting visitors can be tough. You might think it comes so naturally to some people, but the reality is, they worked hard to become that fluid visitor-inviting machine. Now it’s your turn!
Join the Breakthrough 2024 Member Inviting Café with Dawn Adlam on the 3rd of June at 4pm. Dawn is the ultimate inviting expert and has lots of creative ideas on how you can encourage more people to visit your BNI chapter. This event is open to all members, and it's free to sign up. Get yourself along, and get inviting, because more visitors means more business for you and your fellow chapter members.
Happy Birthday LinkedIn Local
The July meeting of LinkedIn Local for Ayrshire will mark its first birthday so to celebrate, they are offering a ticketed Brunch event for ￡18 and you are all invited!
Run by Magnum Chapter member Wendy Harris, this supportive, collaborative community is regularly attended by over 40 people in business who are building strong relationships whilst doing business together.
On the day, you'll get a light breakfast and a drink included in your ticket cost, plus a Bucks Fizz supplied by SimpsInns their lovely venue hosts.
