The 7 Degrees of Progressive Compliance. Where are you?

In May, ACCA announced they’d be no longer providing updated engagement letters directly to their members.

This caused us a problem in our own firm, for many other accountancy and bookkeeping firms in the UK and our GoProposal members.

But rather than complain, we decided to solve this.... and solve it we did.

Our goal was not to just REPLACE engagement letters for ACCA members… but to REINVENT what engagement letters are, for all accounting and bookkeeping firms.

This took us on an DEEP journey of discovery and collaboration with some of the UK’s leading compliance and regulatory experts

The journey has led to a series of significant innovations within GoProposal, to the point where they’re going to change the breadth of the role of GoProposal for everyone.

The work also led to us develop a model called “The 7 Degrees of Progressive Compliance” to help you to fully understand where you are now and where it’s possible to get to with governance, risk and compliance.

Most firms don’t get passed level 3, and only a handful are even aware of levels 5, 6 and 7.

Each level is not exclusive. So you can have fulfilled everything to level 3, but also have elements of 4 and 6 too.

The higher levels are beyond the reach of most firms because you would need a team of regulatory and compliance experts to help you to achieve them.

Our mission is to put them within easy reach. But it all starts by understanding where you’re a right now.
