As Hitomi Broadcast marks its 10th anniversary, we're delighted to share this milestone-filled newsletter with you. Over the past decade, we've dedicated ourselves to perfecting the art and science of broadcast synchronisation, and this year has brought some of our most significant achievements yet.
In this edition, we're excited to announce our launch of SMPTE ST 2110 compatibility for MatchBox, a major leap forward in IP-based broadcast solutions. We'll also share how our technology recently helped The Scottish Parliament enhance their broadcast facilities - particularly relevant given the current focus on election coverage.

NEW! SMPTE ST 2110 Compatibility
We're excited to announce SMPTE ST 2110 compatibility for our MatchBox solution, allowing seamless integration into IP-based broadcast environments. This enhancement maintains our innovative lip-sync and latency measurement capabilities while supporting the industry's shift towards IP solutions.
Existing MatchBox users can easily update their hardware to support ST 2110 by adding the new interface to spare slots in their xFrame. This enables a smooth transition to IP workflows while maintaining compatibility with existing SDI infrastructure.
Hitomi Synchronises Scottish?Broadcasts
Hitomi's MatchBox system recently played a crucial role in enhancing the Scottish Parliament's broadcast facilities. Our technology enabled precise synchronisation across their complex hybrid setup, ensuring seamless audio-video alignment.
Bill Ward, Head of Broadcasting at the Scottish Parliament, praised the solution: "To have a system as simple as Glass, it actually made that analysis very, very quick." This success story, featured in TVBEurope's recent ebook on election technology, demonstrates MatchBox's effectiveness in modern broadcast environments.
