Women’s History Month?and?International Women’s Day?(March 8) provide 美国银行 teammates around the world an opportunity to shine a light on the trailblazing women and unsung heroines who shaped history and those who continue to shape our society in remarkable ways.

Throughout history, women have been pioneers in fields like science, medicine, and engineering — opening doors and paving the way for generations of women to pursue their dreams. Today, women around the world are bringing their perspectives, strength, dedication and resilience to drive inclusion, build businesses, improve neighborhoods, and push for progress at a global scale.

As community leaders, educators, scientists and essential workers in every industry, women power our economy. And, as innovators, entrepreneurs and investors, women are helping our communities thrive.

Our company invests in recruiting and developing women talent so they can build a career with us. In fact,?our global workforce is 50% women, which mirrors the communities where we live and work. And the bank’s continued investment in women in our communities enabled our company to provide nearly one million hours of training and mentoring to women from?140 countries, helping more than?130,000 women entrepreneurs?grow their business.

And I could not be prouder of the work our Global Technology team is doing to inspire and enable women and girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) through our partnerships with several organizations including Girls Who Code , AnitaB.org , Rewriting the Code Code First Girls , NCWIT and LWT .
