Celebrating 4 Years in Tamarah's Closet
Tamarah Ellen
Entertainer/Host of Tamarah's Closet LIVE INTERVIEWS, Writer & Photographer
I can’t believe it’s been 4 years in Tamarah’s Closet! Tamarah’s Closet is my pride and joy! I created this, as I have always been a big dreamer and I know how important dreams are for many of us in order to face each day! I always say, “If I quit dreaming, then I’ve quit living! Dreams are the reason I get up each day!”
As a young girl, my first dream was to be a veterinarian. As I grew up, I discovered I had many allergies, not to mention I played sick from school the day we were to dissect the frogs! I couldn’t stomach it! There ended that dream. I was passionate about animals, but not cutting on them! ? Ugh! In my teens, I dreamed of being a model and I did that, only my parents were not in favor of it! I modeled with a local agency for a few years, which led me to the beauty industry! Dreams are important, yet it takes support from those you love, and that doesn’t always happen!
I started Tamarah’s Closet 4 years ago, as I knew how important dreams are and I wanted to lift people up by celebrating them! I also knew that most talk shows, or interviews were with the “already celebrated” so how could someone getting started, see the light at the end of the tunnel?
Tamarah’s Closet is about celebrating people at all levels on their journey, some already famous, and others getting started, as well as some who have already started gaining recognition! My parents introduced me to the world of the arts, through music; learning to play the piano, then the Flute and also I took ballet lessons for years. My father listened to classical music, which I love, and my brother Larry was a rock and roller, and my other brother listened to country. I love all genres of music!
My modeling took me into the fashion industry, and I love fashion, and wanted to become a fashion designer when I went to college. My false beliefs that I couldn’t sew, because my mother couldn’t, led me to frustration! Today I know that you don’t even have to sew! Things change!
I love celebrating people and spoiling them. For as long as I have been an adult, I have had countless parties, and loved spoiling my guests! I wouldn’t let them bring a thing, as I did it all! I was the ‘hostess with the mostest!’ ??
Today I enjoy hosting my live internet show with talented people from all over the world! I wanted to unite people from all over the world, in hopes of bringing attention back to the arts versus all the noise in the world, which causes frustration! There are so many talented people in this world! The arts are what keeps us moving forward with dance, smiles, laughter, visuals of dreamy places, memories of happier times, photos that compel us to think, instruments that vibrate imagination in our minds, creativity that ignites passion in our hearts, and books that take us to places and stories we’ve dared to dream of!
Music is the universal language and so is art! You don’t have to understand the art! It’s about how it makes you feel!
I look forward to many more wonderful years in Tamarah’s Closet! While I didn’t get to do as many interviews last year, as I was working on my photography, I have this year to do many more! Tamarah’s Closet is an eclectic of things! I have many plans and my photography is a big factor in my journey!
