Celebrating 25 Years of Pentagon Play!

Pentagon Play are commemorating 25 years of creating captivating and engaging learning through play spaces for children across the country!

During our existence, we have worked with over 15,000 schools, improving educational environments for over 4 million children.

The Journey

Some years ago, two 6-year-old boys met in the school playground and became best friends.

From there, Andy Snell and Michael Bischof spent every weekend with one another, turning their local area into a play haven of their very own, using only their imagination and the materials around them to create fantastic spaces for play!

As they got older, this inspired what would become Pentagon Play.?

It was important to them both to develop a company with a mission to improve children’s lives by providing engaging learning through play spaces that would enable pupils to develop key life skills through play.

Both gained formal training in manufacturing engineering before deciding to launch their very own business, striving to add some fun and life into educational play areas.

Then came James Collis-Pritchard and Sam Flatman, co-owners of Pentagon Play!

James had a background as an educational psychologist with a comprehensive understanding of how children learn through play and how to create

Sam, with a background in education and, as a self-confessed book worm when he was at school, had a strong will and a keen eye for inclusivity.

Now here we are, 25 years later, meeting the goals of their initial vision daily!

Today, Pentagon Play is the UK’s Leading Playground Provider, with expert teams crafting quality, long-lasting educational play equipment for schools around the UK.?

We have spent the last 25 years building our experience, knowledge, and teams, ensuring that today we have extremely qualified and reliable teams, dedicated to the company’s mission.

Our Products Team is like no other, striving to create unique and innovative product daily. Using the primary curriculum as their inspiration, our team work closely with teachers, nursery managers and SENCO’s to design products that really meet the needs of the pupils.?

We also have a fantastic workshop team, working daily to craft high-quality timber play products. Constantly learning new skills and methods of creating fantastic resources, we never fail to be amazed at their incredible work.

Our Operations Team has been growing more than ever recently and we’re smashing it out of the park with installations. The team is committed to keeping communication clear and continuous throughout the whole install process, ensuring each customer is fully briefed on the stage of their development.?

Our Marketing Team has also been growing and advancing rapidly in recent years, with each member of the team developing key skillsets that will contribute to Pentagon Play's growth and success.

We have so many more teams here at Pentagon that have grown massively during our 25 years and their continuous commitment and ambition has helped and continues to help us grow as an industry leader.

“We’re definitely going to continue supporting our charity partners, such as NSPCC, Action for Children and CAFT! This is something that’s so important to us so we’re excited for that to continue and grow.”

“Our Online Shop will continue to grow, allowing us to reach more customers in shorter lead times and help us contribute to our ambitious goal of improving the lives of 1 million children in just 1 year- we’re currently averaging around 500,000!”
