Celebrating 25 years at Francis Clark (kind of/ shortly..)

It will be 25 years for me with PKF-Francis Clark Chartered accountants & business advisers (including time with Winter Rule) in May this year.

To commemorate this, and to reflect on how fortunate I have been in life, I have decided to see if I can do a marathon (essentially 25 miles rounded up!) or "Iron Man equivalent" (2.4 mile swim or 112 mile bike ride) once a month in this prestigious year.

To tie in with Truro office's "Thoughtful Thursday" initiative I will, where possible head out on a Thursday to do this activity and to contemplate ideas for future "Thoughtful Thursdays" meetings/ events.

I will also make some small donations to charity, specifically those I / we have engaged with over recent weeks (e.g., in this case ShelterBox - who came into to present to towards the end of last year) and charities that my colleagues are currently fundraising for. My first monthly outing will be tomorrow and will be an out and back coast path run - and my aim will be to be back at my at my desk for an afternoon's work (I will have to leave early morning as my run speed has not improved with age!).

I am hopeful that this will be my own (inner) version of a "Year in a Field" (a great film now available on streaming platforms..) and as well as facilitating some self reflection will give space for thinking on what is really important and actions thereon.

I will share photos, although unlikely (hopefully, as I plan to stay on the coast path..) to be as up close to a seal as I was at Christmas - see photo.
