Celebrating 2023 and Looking Forward to 2024

At the MetroHartford Alliance 's 2023 Annual Meeting, held yesterday at the 普惠 Hangar Museum, I had the opportunity to share with nearly 400 guests an update on our strategic plan.? The Alliance team is excited about our team’s work to foster economic development, community engagement, and talent retention that benefits our investors, Connecticut’s capital city, and the Greater Hartford region.? Some of the key components of the Alliance’s strategic plan on which our team is focused include:

Elevating Hartford's Economic Landscape

Our first strategic focus is to execute economic development with energy and vision. We aim to invigorate the Hartford region by increasing the number and diversity of companies, particularly in the insurance sector. Recognizing the potential of Insurtech, we are committed to enhancing its prominence, fortifying Hartford's position as a hub of innovation. We aim to achieve this goal by creating pipeline of investment opportunities and expanding marketing efforts that promote our region as a destination for Insurtech companies.? Concurrently, we are collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders to explore ways we can stabilize the office real estate market, helping to ensure a robust environment for businesses to thrive. Central to this endeavor is the stabilization of the insurance and financial services employment base.? Through partnerships with allies such as AdvanceCT , Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development , and colleges and universities, we’ll continue to develop and retain the skilled workforce that serves as a cornerstone of Hartford's economic strength.

Empowering the Hartford Young Professionals & Entrepreneurs (HYPE) Leadership Committee to lead and grow the organization is a testament to our belief in nurturing leadership and talent among young professionals and emerging leaders in our community.
