Introducing IBRA's New Leadership and Board Members
The new president, Prof. Dr. Dr. Victor Valderrabano (left), is an internationally recognized orthopaedic trauma surgeon. He brings extensive expertise in musculoskeletal medicine, education, and research. As a valued IBRA Board Member and Chairman of the Lower Limb Section, he has significantly contributed to the organization’s mission.
Prof. Rainer H. Meffert (right) is the past President of IBRA, he has shown remarkable dedication to advancing upper limb knowledge. Since 2008, he has actively participated in 30 IBRA courses, enhancing surgical education and practice.
We are pleased to announce the election of new committee members during this year’s General Assembly. This signifies an exciting new chapter in our continued commitment to excellence in medical education and surgical practice.
Prof. Dr. Dr. Christian Freudlsperger has been elected as the Chairman of the Research & Education Committee Head. He is based at Auckland City Hospital in New Zealand.
Prof. Dr. Adam Watts has been elected as the REC Chairman for Upper Limbs. He serves at Wrightington Hospital in the UK.
Prof. Dr. Mario Herrera Perez has been elected as the REC Chairman for Lower Limbs. He is affiliated with the Hospital Universitario de Canarias in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain.
Each of these individuals has shown remarkable expertise and commitment in their respective fields, and we are confident they will continue to drive forward the innovative research and educational initiatives that IBRA is known for.
