Celebrating 20 years with gratitude - part 1

Today, September 2, 2023, marks my 20 years at Deloitte. On that special day, I wanted to express my appreciation to the thousands of people who made my journey so memorable. To all my clients, thank you for your trust. Many of you have become my dearest friends.

Dad Jean-Pierre Gaumont , I miss you so much! Your 35 years of dedication to entrepreneurship at Les programmes éducatifs JA Québec certainly continues to inspire me every single day. Deloitte for sure runs in the family now! My love Amélie Baraby , my deepest thank you to you, my #1 partner in this beautiful journey of life. Pierre Baraby, FCPA, FCA thanks for explaining to me how the back of the kitchen works.

Here are some of my key memories.

In grad school, it’s David Liberatore who opened my eyes to the world of Consulting. Not long after, André Simard welcomed me in his SAP team at Deloitte. My first coach Sebastien Tessier , my buddy Michel Bélanger and close colleagues like Véronique Filion , Angie Orzea taught me how to be a great consultant. A special mention to Robert Caine who called it first, that one day, I would be a partner.

Deloitte is an adventure and it is not a linear journey. Barbara Venneman you advised me to take control of my career and align my purpose to my daily work. That led me to Sébastien Blais who inspired so much of who I am today and to the greatest mentor of all time Jean-Claude Aube .

Ronan Vandeputte like you told me, BITS was so special! The fun we had together with the value initiative Amy Peterson, PMP , in St-John Jeremy Drumm , Nav Litt and in Florida Mathieu Courtat , Ashee Sarin , Richard Tea . I was so lucky to have had great coaches and mentors along the way Paul Marc Frenette , Umberto Delucilla, FCPA, FCA, CISA, CRISC, CRP and early days counselees Hicham J. Ratnani , Ethan Song , Simon Brown , Houda Baroudi , Etienne Dudley who helped me to become a better leader.

Deloitte fuelled my curiosity from the get-go. Terry S. Stuart you inspired so many of us to innovate, especially when you sent Kathleen St-Pierre , Chris Forrest and I to visit IDEO to learn about Design Thinking.

Jean-Francois (JF) Allain you created a pivotal moment that led me to focus on building our Salesforce practice with Tony Krajewski . David De Grandpré , I will always remember our epic moment at the fax machine which marked the beginning of that adventure and our first team members: Pierre Dufour , Silviu A. Frantescu , Gabriella Baciu and so many more after. Rodney Lemieux , Peter Theocharis , Glenn Datko who believed in our alliance right from the start.
