Celebrating 20 years of Communications INC ?

Dear colleague,

Communications INC is celebrating its 20th anniversary this month and we wanted to share our?new logo and website?to mark the moment! It’s a major milestone for us and – although we don’t usually talk about ourselves – it’s a unique chance to reflect on two decades of catalysing positive change, to thank all our clients and collaborators, and to look ahead to exciting new challenges.

It’s hard to believe that 20 years have passed since we took the plunge and launched a new kind of agency to create impact and action through strategic communications and campaigns. That was 2003. Before iPhones, before social media, and before the climate – let alone the ocean or biodiversity – regularly made front page news. A lot has changed since then, and we are proud of the role Communications INC played to push the ocean, climate and nature crises higher up political agendas and mobilise people to call for – and achieve -- real change.

Today Communications INC is a full-service communications and campaigning agency supporting the ocean-climate sector across the world. We work with the organisations that are working to secure a better future for current and future generations. Together we’re striving to make environmental issues less siloed and – at last – we are starting to see that happen. In a dynamic = sector, we are constantly adapting, learning from each other, and creating opportunities to take a holistic, earth system approach to protecting our planet.

What makes all this possible, and what makes Communications INC special, are the people we work with: our amazing, tenacious team and the change-making clients who put their faith in us. Our work together is powered by our shared values and our commitment to forging solutions for the ocean, the climate, and an equitable world.

After 20 years on the job, we know how to get things done – and we know how much still needs to be done. The challenge ahead is to make sure that the agreed actions actually happen. That the High Seas Treaty is ratified and implemented; that 30% of our land and sea is protected; that we safeguard Antarctica; that deep sea mining never happens; that we consign shark finning and other destructive fishing practices to history; and that we fully integrate the ocean into the climate space and restore our planet. The future starts now and Communications INC is ready for it.

We want to thank everyone who has been part of our journey so far. This has been the ultimate team effort. And we are always looking to welcome aboard new groups and partners committed to delivering solutions for people and the planet.
