Celebrating 10 Years at FUN.com with Michael Adams

We’ve just celebrated Michael Adams’ 10th year here at FUN.com. Michael leads our Global Logistics team. This team manages our global supply chain and outbound shipping logistics. Michael measures success as “Delivering our goods on-time at the lowest possible cost.”

How did you start working for FUN.com?

I started working at then Buyfun.com when I was in college. It was the first year I was living off campus and sticking around for the summer. I applied for the part time CS rep position thinking it was a short-term summer gig. I wouldn't have guessed it at the time that this was the beginning of my career.?

Who is your favorite fictional character?

Homer Simpson. Love that guy

What is your favorite memory?

I have many great memories here, but one of my favorite's was the launch of our Back to the Future shoes. It was pretty cool to see this company create and launch a product with that much hype.?

What is the nerdiest thing about you?

It is probably my interest in creating interactive spreadsheet models. I could do that all day.

What keeps you coming in every day?

The ambition that this company has. Each year we have bigger and bolder goals and it's amazing to work with this amount talented people to achieve them. I cannot believe how much I've been able to learn and grow here in such a short amount of time. Ha, 10 years now doesn't sound like a little amount of time, but it's gone quick.

What sets FUN.com apart from other companies?

The people. We have something special here and we seem to be really good and adding the right people to the right positions.

What advice would you give to someone interested in pursuing a career like yours?

I think this applies to most careers, but it's something I strongly believe in for personal growth. Seek opportunities that are a little foreign and uncomfortable... Don't be dismissive or negative to a new experience. It might unlock a vantage point you wouldn't have otherwise come to. Never be complacent, always keep growing.
