Happy New Year 2023, Project Brains Community!

At Project Brains, we are mission-aligned with the philosophies of the Future of Work. Our community is built to support multi-talented, multi-skilled job personas and work environments - leveraging technology, generational and social shifts.?

However, one truth we want to kick off within this first month of 2023 is that CVs and LinkedIn profiles are only partially useful to expose your talents, skills, or work goals. Often they do not help you do the work you love to do or help bring your work-life universe into balance.

Just like Spiderman; who is known for many skills. He started out as a freelance photographer, then a chemistry teacher, and finally the Founder of Parker Industries. But we also know him as our friendly neighborhood hero.

The world of work needs all your talents, and especially your superpowers. Your special talent may even be a hobby or come from volunteering. But you can build a connected network of clients for this talent on the side of your day job. If you believe in this principle, we think 2023 is your time.

We are convinced forward-thinking businesses are ready to:

  1. Change who does the jobs; think crowdsourcing or fractional working.
  2. Comfortably settle into differing workspaces, and rethink where work gets done.
  3. Embrace change in how work gets done (AI, robotics, and automation) and rewarded

Our tip for the new year: let us think about how much the world is better with Spiderman's side-hustle: crime-fighting with his spider senses!

2022 has been a good year for our community.? Since our last newsletter in the summer, so much has changed. We have added over 10 new businesses in sectors like sustainability & energy transition, enterprise technology, and B2B communications. We have added 3700 new members and doubled our value-generation to cross £500k GMV. With your engagement, we are proud to do this industry-changing work, and want to keep improving in 2023.
