Celebrate your People and your People will Celebrate You!

Employer Branding is who you are!  It’s not about who you want to be. Be Proud of your company. Be Proud of your Brand. You don’t need to advertise ‘Good Will Patches’ to improve your existing Employer Brand. Instead - You need to be Proud of who you are Right Now! Not who you want to be in three years - But now, the truthful now!

Your Employer Brand reflects your People. Your Best Brand Ambassadors are your People. Celebrate your People and your People will Celebrate You!

Remember - People buy from People. “I heard great things about that company”. That’s because it's true! Empower your people to help celebrate your Brand. Make them Proud - So proud, when asked what they do for a living. They respond with the ‘One-Liner’. –“I work for ‘Cadence Design System. We design Microchips!” They use the word ‘We’ because they mean it! Because they are proud of their company association and inclusion. Remember - Employee Respect is earned! Strong Employer Branding reflects a strong company! That’s why you should tell the World. Because you are Proud!

With strong employer branding you show off the naked walls. No need for Fake Wall Paper. You just can’t fake great Employer Branding. Your company is just being its amazing self. Its not pretending, its not acting. Its real and the brands perception is consistently backed up by current and past employees.  These are true reference points of any organization. You see that is what Pride looks like – Proud of past association. Proud to be part of. This is the real raw definition of inclusion. 

If you are Amazing - Tell your future people that you are Amazing ! Show them how you live Diversity & Inclusion. Show the world with real people! With your people. This is what happens in our company! This is what respect look like!

"We promote, we recruit, we live Diversity and inclusion. We really do and We are proud of it"– and so you should be! Because you Help your own, because you Love your Own. Like a Family, when one gets sick – You support. That’s what you do, because that’s who you are!  

This is what a great Organization Culture looks like. It’s the office feeling that cannot be replicated. The Family feeling, the happier Monday morning feel. You know – The, 'I like this place feel and I want to make my Manager, Director Proud of me!' Because they Care and I care for them too! This is the Corporate Culture that people want to work in, that people don’t leave.

This is the organization culture that doesn’t need to use Recruitment Agencies. The company that people wait to apply for. When the company is ready to hire – they are ready to apply!

Can you feel it! This is what a Great Employer Brand really look like. Hard to replicate, but one which should be advertised. Tell the world – This is who we are. Not who we want to be! Forget the Employer Brand Journey. No need for a journey - when you are there already!

What if. If you have an issue in your company. If you need to Fix the organization culture. Don’t invest in External Employer Branding. Instead invest in internal Change Management – Fix the problem first! Communicate with your people. Bring them into the circle. Get Buy in - agree on the journey. Don’t sell a dream – Sell a reality. Through strong internal communication and effective change management your Organization culture will become strong again. That’s when you promote it!

The Return on Investment - Well - Happy Employees - Happy Profit Margin!

If you are a Software Engineer and thinking about changing jobs. You will apply to the company that is recommended to you. A Company that you Know. A Company that the People recommend. A company that your friends recommend. Why bother with anybody else. That’s why as a company if you are fortunate to be in this position. Tell the World – Shout it out! Talk to your Target Candidate Market – Educate them on who you are. Not who you want to become!
