Celebrate translators on September 30!
This #CeatlFriday we would like to remind you that International Translation Day is just around the corner: the 30th September is the feast of St. Jerome, the patron saint of translators. How will you be celebrating? Big or small, online or in person, scholarly or informally, it’s important to honour translators’ work far and wide.

Last year, we combined the 100th anniversary of the publication of James Joyce’s Ulysses with International Translation Day by making a video with the title: Translating the Untranslatable. Thirteen translators from different countries each read a short passage from that book. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can still watch it here: https://www.ceatl.eu/ceatl-presents-translating-the-untranslatable

What will we do this year? Well, we’re cooking up something… Stay tuned and you’ll soon find out!
