Celebrate the Small Wins
Summary
Celebrating our wins isn’t just about celebrating the big win. It’s about celebrating the small, initial steps toward achieving our goals. But we don’t always remember to celebrate those small wins along the way.
The key to feeling stronger, more capable and more confident as we approach and achieve those big wins, is taking time to celebrate those small wins, and those small steps.
Here are three ways to celebrate the small wins so that you truly integrate the win into your identity:
#1: Create a Reflection schedule. Make time for weekly, scheduled time-blocks where you intentionally think about your week. What did you achieve this week? What good things happened that you didn't even anticipate?
#2. Feel the win. We have to relive it, feel it, and integrate it. It’s through feeling that win that we generate confidence.
#3. Share the win with others. Telling other people what you're proud of and what you've accomplished is the marker of an authentic relationship. Share what you're doing in your life with real enthusiasm.

6 年That's very true! Sometimes we wait with celebrating until we achieve that big goal but it might never happen if we won't notice our progress and our small wins. It is important especially for people who serve others - celebrate your small wins and you will feel better about yourself. When you love yourself- you can love others and serve a lot better!

7 年Brendon Burchard, Thank you for highlighting a critical component needed for future growth, enabling us to push ourselves to take the next step. Celebrating 'small successes.' When we have gone out of our comfort zone, our inclination is to say, 'whoa! that's enough.' When we congratulate ourselves and celebrate that we took a step, it will lead us to take another. Celebrate even the tiniest achievement as well as the harder ones. How encouraging that is and what we would say to someone we cared about.
