Let's move beyond performative gestures like ordering Chinese takeout or asking for dance performances. What are employees learning by watching kids dance in Asian costumes? Did we just ask a marginalized group to donate to our for-profit company?
?
Instead, let's focus on education, elevation, and honoring AANHPI culture. You can elevate the voices and experiences of AANHPI employees and clients. This includes introducing them and hearing their stories and ensuring that they feel seen, heard, and valued.

Let's educate teams about AANHPI cultures and perspectives. This can be done through hosting presentations and discussions about their concerns, histories, and victories.
?
You can engage your employees by displaying Asian inclusion installations, providing resources and support for AANHPIs, and actively working to address issues of discrimination and bias. By coming together to celebrate AANHPI Heritage Month respectfully, we can create a more inclusive and equitable workplace culture that values and uplifts all of its employees.
