In other news, ‘layoffs’ could very well be the trending word of this year with trouble continuing to brew at big tech companies. But the impact was felt closer home this time.?

Google's India arm laid off 453 employees across various departments. Last week, Twitter closed down its Delhi and Mumbai offices, leaving only its Bengaluru office operational but asking employees to work from home.

The Women In The Workplace 2022 report has revealed some intriguing facts. It found that women leaders are significantly more likely than men leaders to leave their jobs because they want to work for a company that is more committed to employee well-being and DE&I initiatives.

The report highlights that women leaders are championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion measures and are leading the transition to a more supportive, inclusive workplace, which is what the next generation of employees, especially younger women, want and expect.

The second season of Shark Tank India revealed an interesting fact - 40% of business owners pitching their ideas to the sharks were women.
