Celebrate Farm-To-School Month With Us!
NextGen Purpose
Expert advice and support for foodpreneurs to take your idea from concept to product and beyond.
This month we're celebrating Farm-to-School Month with Teens for Food Justice ! Here at NextGen Purpose, we believe that education, integration, and access are three keys to success when it comes to aligning our health with the health of the planet. For Farm-to-School month we are promoting food education, school gardens and lunch trays filled with healthy, local ingredients. Healthy students are better learners. Research shows that healthy eating habits are connected to social and academic achievements among school-aged learners and beyond.
This month we want to support Teens for Food Justice - an organization that we love and admire. TFFJ is a youth-led movement to end food insecurity through high capacity, school-based hydroponic farming. TFFJ delivers healthy food, habits and education to over a dozen schools and local communities.
We're asking our listeners, followers and community members to make a small contribution to help us fundraise for TFFJ to assist in their programs where student-grown produce is served in school cafeterias, local food pantries, and student run markets- increasing access to fresh, healthy food for low income communities.
