CDTA Moves into Phase 2 of the Transit Development Plan
Capital District Transportation Authority
The Premier Mobility Provider for New York's Capital Region
Albany, N.Y. (May 29, 2024) – The Capital District Transportation Authority’s (CDTA) Board of Directors, at their monthly Board Meeting on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, were given an update on CDTA’s Transit Development Plan (TDP). The TDP is a forward-looking plan that will outline a strategic vision for the CDTA service network. It will be designed to enhance and expand transit services, providing a better experience for customers and the community.
As the planning process moves along, CDTA is reaching out to gather feedback on proposed principles and service concepts that will make the transit network more efficient, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, support economic development, and improve mobility for more people.
As part of CDTA’s commitment to listening to customers and incorporating their insight into the decision-making process, a survey has been created to collect the public’s input on the proposed service concepts. To participate, visit the project website at https://www.cdta-tdp.com. By participating in the survey, the public can directly influence the future of transit in the Capital Region. Feedback received will be used to pinpoint areas where CDTA can make changes to its service, infrastructure, and amenities that better serve its customers.

9 个月I see we have Flex in Clifton Park now and Mechanicville. Thank you. I feel like a direct Albany-Saratoga bus should be a priority. Having to go through Schenectady and up Route 50 makes it over 2:15 on the bus from Albany (3 hours at night) The north way buses don’t run often enough. I love that you bought Warren County, but the other 5 counties on your network have no connection there… How about an Albany-Lake George Express Bus up Route 9 Hourly? This would help people in Halfmoon, Crescent, Clifton Park, Ushers, Round Lake & Malta access the rest of the existing network, as well as save an hour on the current Saratoga-Albany 450-905 Bus commute. It would also connect Warren County and help Glens Falls commuters come to Albany and Capital Area residents visit Lake George etc. Connect Saratoga to South Glens Falls through Kings Station & Wilton. In the summer extend the Route 9 bus direct to Great Escape, Queensbury Outlets, Fort William Henry. Repeat route back to Albany. This route would be about 90-120 minutes each way, like the NJ Transit buses or the current Northway Express. The Albany-Saratoga Route 9 Bus should be 45-60 minutes each way
