A brandnew CD is now on the market containing delightful compositions of a nearly forgotten composer! The recording has just been released on Coviello Classics. It presents lessons and sonatas by Jacob Kirkman (1746-1812), nephew of the famous London harpsichord maker of the same name. I play original keyboard instruments from the Finchcocks collection in Kent, England. The recording includes Kirkman's works written in the unique and nowadays much-neglected genre of keyboard repertoire with a violin accompaniment, played here by Nicolette Moonen. The CD is available via Hyphen Press:
