CCTV for Superyachts - December: 2024 recap

With the year coming to an end, we look back on all the development of 2024. It’s been a busy year, we’ve launched new services and travelled all over the world. Here’s our rewind!

AI integrations

In Q1 of this year, we launched a new website, including a renewed proposition expanding on how we can service clients in the yachting industry. This includes an array of AI integrations. These integrations, we’ve been introducing in the previous editions of the newsletter, help CCTV systems to learn certain movements, behaviour and objects.

An example is object detection, which can detect objects and teach the AI to recognize the object as trained. With the knowledge of having the object in the camera feed, we can configure certain actions. An example: With object detection, you can detect if people are wearing masks. The AI detects the mask as an object and raises an alarm when someone is wearing one.

Or we can use AI for control systems where visual control is needed. The camera can detect objects and we can connect certain keychains and test algorithms. For example, when a machine is powered on, the camera can check certain components of the machine, to check if all is in the usual state. When one component is not in the usual state, an alarm goes off.?

Boat shows and visits

As usual, 2024 was paired with the necessary boat show planning. Although our flight to Monaco unexpectedly fell through at the last moment, we made up for it in Fort Lauderdale and Amsterdam. The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show was an excellent event where we established many valuable connections. Similarly, at Metstrade , we had the opportunity to explore the latest innovations in yacht security technology, gaining useful insights into the industry's advancements.

We paired our FLIBS run with a visit to Rybovich Marina, where we’re working onboard a yacht in partnership with RH Marine to deliver a cutting-edge security system. Upon return, we quickly left again for a security survey at MB92 La Ciotat . Proving our dedication to personally serving yachting clients all over the world.

Our plans for 2025

Our plan for 2025 is to increasingly enhance safety on board yachts and relieve integrators of concerns related to CCTV design, configuration, and implementation.

If you’re looking to do more in the area of yachting (CCTV) security technology next year, let’s partner up. We look forward to seeing how we can support you. Contact [email protected] for a non-binding consultation. For now, happy Holidays!
