Thank you to the thousands of members who appreciated the content I shared yesterday on CCSP.
Those materials were originally prepared for my personal use and later shared with some of my team members. I'm delighted to see that they are helping many of you.
Over the past 24 hours, I have received numerous queries regarding how to crack the exam. In response, I believe it's best to write an article that can assist a larger audience.
My sincere advice is to focus on preparing for the exam rather than solely aiming to crack it. By prioritising the learning of the subject matter, you will naturally increase your chances of success.
Here's my suggestion to help you in your preparation:
- Choose a study guide material [I used CBK] to serve as your primary resource.
- Plan to study approximately 10 pages per day, which will allow you to complete the 300-page book in 30 days.
- Maintain consistency in your study routine, dedicating more time during weekends and holidays.
- Work through the questions at the end of each domain. Instead of solely focusing on the correct answer, pay attention to the thought process behind selecting the answer. Analysing the reasoning will help you refine your understanding.
- Based on my experience with writing exams like CISSP and CISA, I've found that the questions themselves require more attention than the answers. Many individuals rush to find the answer without fully comprehending the question. Take your time to understand the question thoroughly before focusing on the answer. You'll find that around 80% of the questions contain clues within the question itself, requiring attentive reading to choose the correct answer.
- If you feel the need for additional training, I recommend connecting with
Prabh Nair
. I've heard positive reviews about him and believe he will provide the necessary support for your certification journey.
- Personally, I believe disciplined self-study within a 60-day timeframe is sufficient to pass the exam.
- If you're determined to take the exam, I encourage you to book your exam date before starting your preparation. This will create a sense of urgency and help you maintain discipline in your study routine.
Lastly, please consider paying it forward. Cybersecurity is an ever-evolving field, and it's our responsibility to support and share knowledge with one another
