CCR modules last mile delivery
Alex van der Meer
Heavy lift / transport tender specialist for Mammoet. How can we move your challenge?
Mammoet was contracted by CH Robinson to perform the last mile transport of 7 CCR modules in Antwerp. These CCR modules we brought from overseas and will be used in a new chemical production plant. The largest of these modules is over 60 meters long and weighs up to 470 metric tons.
During the weekend we received the CCR modules onto our SPMT trailers and set down the modules on stools at the local quay.
In the next days, we loaded the 7 modules on 4 pontoon trips by means of RORO operation and transported to the destination quay side.
At the final destination, Mammoet performed the RORO offloading and transport onto the site. Lifting the modules vertical and set down onto the foundations was performed with crawler cranes.
Thanks CH Robinson to award this transport job to Mammoet.
Thanks Victrol for the good teamwork with the pontoon and Zuidnatie for the flexibility in hosting the activities on the quay and yard during the weekend.
And thanks to our operations team who prepared and operated the SPMT transports.
Do you have a similar transport in mind? Please contact Mammoet, we will be pleased to make it happen for you.
