CCPA Oct 11, 2019 Amendments and Full Text with Tracked Changes
I recently took a deep dive into the changes enacted into the California Consumer Privacy Act on Oct 11, 2019. Although I have seen summaries of the amendments, I had not seen a reference that shows the specific tracked changes and final form of the law.
For my own reference, I created a Word document that shows precisely how each of the amendments (AB 25, 874, 1130, 1146, 1202, 1355, 1564) update the body of the California Civil Code. This was a complicated process of layering tracked changes and understanding conditional logic in the bills themselves.
I realized this document may be useful to my network of privacy professionals, so, to give back to the community, I am sharing the document here, under an Apache 2.0 permissive open source license for your commercial or noncommercial use and reference.
I hope this is helpful to you.
