CCP Surround New York Governor and Mayor

From last year to this year, both the New York State Government and the City Government have repeatedly experienced the following scenario: the FBI conducts raids on people close to the governor or the mayor, including even the mayor himself. These investigations have revealed that Chinese (CCP) agents seem to be embedded around the governor and mayor of New York, actively undermining U.S. national interests over a long period.

Linda Sun (孙雯) was arrested by the FBI on September 3, 2024. Prosecutors have charged her with eight criminal offenses, including conspiring to act as an illegal foreign (CCP) agent, visa fraud, and money laundering conspiracy. Her husband, Hu Xiao, was also arrested. The couple allegedly profited by millions of dollars from the CCP, which they used to purchase luxury properties.

Linda Sun, who immigrated to the U.S. with her parents as a child, has held several important positions in New York, including Deputy Director of Diversity for the State, Director of Asian Affairs, External Affairs Director of the Department of Economic Development, and Deputy Chief of Staff for the Governor. She also served as a representative for Queens, New York City, and Chief of Staff to Congresswoman Grace Meng.

Serving under two New York governors, Andrew Cuomo and Kathy Hochul, Linda Sun had actually been a CCP agent operating covertly around them for years, working for CCP interests and effectively influencing both governors. The results of her efforts include: first, successfully blocking meetings between the New York Governor and the visiting President of Taiwan, and also preventing the New York State Government from building ties with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York. Second, she fostered closer relations between the CCP’s Consulate in New York and the state government, while facilitating the entry of Chinese local government delegations into the U.S. to establish cooperative relationships with New York State.

Winnie Greco (郑祺蓉), on February 29, 2024, had multiple residences and offices raided by the FBI. Greco fainted during the raid. Originally an immigrant from Fujian, China, Greco was the Director of Asian Affairs and Special Advisor to New York Mayor Eric Adams, as well as a fundraiser for his campaign. She successfully forged close ties between the mayor and the CCP Consulate, often appearing together at events organized by pro-CCP Chinese communities.

Before this, on November 10, 2023, the FBI had already raided Mayor Adams’ electronic devices to investigate whether his 2021 campaign was involved in corruption, specifically in terms of fundraising. As a campaign fundraiser for Adams, Greco’s involvement cannot be ruled out.

Guian Lin (林桂安), in September 2024, was reported by U.S. media as having close ties to CCP organizations and frequently appeared alongside Winnie Greco at pro-CCP community events. Lin, originally from Fujian and having immigrated to the U.S. in 1993, surprisingly joined the NYPD in September 2022 despite having no prior police experience. Even more shocking, within just one year, Lin was promoted three times and became the first-ever Chinese-American Assistant Chief in NYPD history. He is reportedly a “trusted assistant” of NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban, with the department’s spokesperson stating that Lin’s appointment came “directly from the Police Commissioner.” Before joining the NYPD, Lin served for 12 years as Vice Chairman of the pro-CCP “United Fukienese Association of America,” an organization controlled by the CCP’s United Front Work Department.

On September 4, 2024, the FBI raided the homes of three top New York City officials, including Police Commissioner Edward Caban, First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright — who is also the girlfriend of Education Commissioner David Banks — and Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Phil Banks, who is also David Banks’ brother. The FBI seized their phones and electronic devices. They are suspected of corruption and are believed to have taken bribes from both China and Turkey.

A week later, on September 13, Edward Caban announced his resignation under investigation. Mayor Adams appointed Thomas Donlon as acting police commissioner. But in a dramatic twist, just one week later, on September 20, the FBI raided Donlon’s residence and seized several suspicious items. These developments reveal deep issues within the NYPD, with both the former and current police commissioners implicated, while Lin’s exact role remains unclear but raises significant questions.

These events outline a clear picture: New York’s governor and mayor have been surrounded by CCP spies or agents, revealing an astonishing level of infiltration. It appears that both the state and city governments of New York have collapsed under the weight of CCP influence. The story in New York is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the CCP’s penetration of the United States. With its “United Front” strategy, which it describes as one of its three “magic weapons,” combined with its use of espionage and massive infiltration tactics, one can only imagine how widespread the CCP’s operations of infiltration, theft, sabotage, and subversion are across the U.S. Fortunately, the U.S. is waking up, with law enforcement stepping up its efforts to crack down on these activities. In addition to the exposure of CCP agents or spies surrounding New York’s governor and mayor, there have also been arrests of individuals such as Wang Shujun and Tang Yuanjun, who infiltrated overseas pro-democracy movements or were recruited by the CCP. Given time, the CCP’s years of infiltration and sabotage activities will face a devastating blow.

Since New York State is a blue state and a stronghold for the Democratic Party, with both the state and city governments being Democrat-controlled, the exposure of so many CCP agents or spies raises the question: will this impact the Democratic Party’s performance in this year’s elections? How much damage could it cause? With the elections approaching, this remains to be seen.
