CCG LinkedIn Newsletter Issue 14: Community Benefit Wrapped 2023

As the year comes to an end, we want to share with you some of the highlights of the CCG Group’s community benefit efforts in 2023. CCG proudly contribute to the well-being and development of our local communities by a wide variety of means including job creation, training opportunities and investment and this year was no different so let’s take a look at our year in numbers…

Clyde Valley High School Pupils Visit (February)

£115,000 donated to local causes

At any one time, CCG has been operational in nine local authorities and we work with our Council and RSL clients to identify community-based projects, organisations and charities within the areas where we operate so that the money reaches those who need it most.?

Donation to Kelburn Hockey Club (June)

46 work placements created

We have created 46 work placements that are specially designed to introduce young men and women from the age of sixteen to the career opportunities available to them in the Scottish construction industry. We do this through sustaining engagement with local high schools as well as working with organisations like Developing Young Workforce to provide opportunities at our main HQ in Cambuslang or with our Construction teams. CCG is committed to supporting the employability and inclusion of young people in Scotland.

Luke, 17, HS&E Work Placement (October)

43 new jobs

CCG’s commitment to skills replenishment is crucial to long-term business success and we are delighted to have created several full-time jobs across a wide variety of roles, however, we have also supported job creation on a localised scale, delivering a mix of full-time and part-time roles for those from within the communities where we operate.

Easter Egg Donations to Govan Pantry (April)

18 trade apprenticeships created

CCG’s annual trade apprentice intake is well-known in the Scottish construction industry. Year-on-year, we offer opportunities for young people and adults from across the breadth of the country to undertake two or four-year trade apprenticeship programmes and last August we had the privilege of welcoming 18 new entrants. CCG and our Group of Companies also proudly retained several graduates in 2023 with full-time roles offered to graduates from our apprenticeship programmes as well as our industry-recognised traineeships. The future is bright!

We hope you enjoyed this recap of our community benefit efforts in 2023. Happy holidays and best wishes from CCG Scotland!
