CCG (Scotland) Ltd
Building a sustainable & progressive future | Contractor & manufacturer | Delivering low energy homes across Scotland
Earlier this week, the CCG Group reached another milestone in the delivery of a multi-phase, fire-door replacement programme in South Lanarkshire with the completion of Old Vic, Sadler's Rest and Dury's Lane in East Kilbride.
Comprising 865 Flat Entrance and Internal Communal (Timber) Doors designed, manufactured and installed entirely in-house by CCG, these high-rise residential blocks are three of ten, totalling 600 residences, that will have received improved fire safety measures upon the completion of the final phase in spring 2024.
The programme of works has been live over the last 12 months and has been undertaken on behalf of South Lanarkshire Council in East Kilbride and Cambuslang.
Each 'FD60' door is manufactured at CCG's headquarters in Cambuslang. The set includes a hardwood frame and an engineered timber door that has intumescent protection and automatic closing features, which are in place to help prevent the spread of fire and smoke, whilst a variety of options are available for paint and ironmongery finishes.
Fully rated and certified (Q-Mark), the door sets are fully completed before leaving the factory. Their installation is then undertaken by CCG Asset Management, the Group's in-house planned maintenance division, ensuring clients such as South Lanarkshire Council benefit from a single chain of responsibility and an assurance of quality, efficiency and value.
The programme was procured via the SPA (Scottish Procurement Alliance) C8 Doors Framework, a further advantage to clients who are looking for a streamlined approach to the pre-contract process.
CCG manufacture several styles of door sets using timber whilst we also create PVCu and composite windows and doors, each capable of servicing the requirements of new build construction and planned maintenance projects.
