CCEP HOSTS ALL HANDS ‘UNITED BY GROWTH’ CONFERENCE

Over the last week the tripartite of Central Planning, Engineering & Technology and the newly created Digitalisation and Productivity workstream hosted a conference at the wonderful Melia Villaitana resort that recognised the Central Teams achievements over the past 12 months and explored the challenges facing our industry, while outlining the activation plans that will drive the growth agenda and unite the combined workstreams across the 30 Countries of CCEP.

The conference, ‘United by Growth’, brought together leading lights from across our Central Teams, headed by Pedro Vinhas, Jamie McCreath, Simon Fallon and Javier Gandarias to discuss Mid to Long Term Planning, Capital Spending priorities and opportunities on both digitalisation and standardisation for productivity. Reflecting on these topics over the 2-day workshop, allowed the delegates to discuss and reflect on their various perspectives on these issues. Borussia Dortmund fan and no stranger to CCEP the one and only Dr Stefan Kunerth, Head of Technical at The Coca Cola Company, delivered the keynote guest lecture, which examined the integration opportunities that Dr Kunerth and his team are bringing to the front line of our business and how through a joint enterprise we are challenging our ways of working to simplify and standardise. ?

Speaking about the significance of having this conference in Spain, Master of Ceremonies Simon Fallon, who was double jobbing as conference organiser and Director of Strategy at CCEP said: "We are delighted to have worked with a small cohort representing the Central CCEP Teams on this conference that really got to the heart of some of the most pressing issues facing our teams as they seek to address challenging workload within a tight timeline, establishing and agreeing on these priorities will position us well for the months ahead. Within the Central Teams we have developed a considerable reputation for our work on multiple, simultaneous programmes, through extensive collaboration with our teams, both locally and globally. With a great number of our team residents of Iberia, it was therefore appropriate that we have hosted this event close to what they call paradise, that included contributions from some of the leading practitioners in their fields."

The inimitable Javier Gandarias, brought life and energy to the proceedings as he showcased his new teams, depicting movie classics as themes that really resonated with the audience, outlining in a creative way the mobilisation plans of his teams for 2024, Javier commented: “It’s a real privilege to be here for this lively and stimulating conference. My colleagues and I are delighted to have had this opportunity to work with the Central Teams in co-organizing these workshops and conference. By working together we can challenge our existing approach, discover new insights and perspectives on challenging interdependencies and foster relations between our Central Teams to ‘Unite for Growth’."
