The Cookware and Bakeware Alliance (CBA) recently concluded its 102nd Annual Fall Member Meeting in Chicago, Illinois, from September 25-26, 2024. The event, themed "Committees In Action," brought together industry professionals for a series of productive discussions, networking opportunities, and insightful presentations.

The event featured several highlights:

  • Committee meetings centered around the Alliance's four pillars: Engineering, Engagement, Education, and Expertise

The CBA continues to offer significant benefits to its members, including access to timely regulation information, insights on industry standards, international manufacturer connections, and educational resources. The alliance's four pillars—Engineering, Engagement, Expertise, and Education—form the foundation for its committees. Together with the board and operations team, these committees continually work to improve the resources available to members.

As the CBA continues to drive innovation and uphold standards within the cookware and bakeware industry, its efforts in fostering collaboration among members and addressing critical issues remain pivotal.

Membership classifications include General, Associate, Supplier, and Retailer. The CBA recognizes the diverse challenges faced by industry members, including regulatory pressures and budgetary constraints. In light of these challenges, CBA membership offers significant value through access to critical resources and industry insights.

Below is a brief description of each membership classification and how they add value to the Alliance.

General Membership: Manufacturers or companies with a significant presence in the U.S. or Canadian cookware and bakeware market. This membership level provides comprehensive access to industry resources, helping members navigate regulatory challenges and optimize operations.

Associate Membership: Companies in the early stages of establishing their market presence. This tier offers valuable industry connections and resources to support growth, particularly beneficial for businesses facing initial budgetary constraints while seeking to establish themselves in the market.

Supplier Membership: Companies supporting the manufacturing process. In an era of complex supply chains and evolving regulations, this membership category provides crucial insights and networking opportunities to help suppliers adapt to industry changes efficiently.

Retailer Membership: Companies engaged in cookware and bakeware sales with a significant market presence. This membership category offers unique value by providing retailers with industry trends, consumer insights, and regulatory updates, helping them to make informed decisions in a challenging retail environment.

While the CBA values all member levels, it recognizes the unique perspective that retailers bring to the table.

Fran Groesbeck, CBA Managing Director, emphasized, "By integrating more retailers into our membership, we're fostering a more comprehensive and informed industry. This approach will enable us to better address challenges faced by all segments of the cookware and bakeware sector."

Prospective members can easily apply for membership by following these steps:
