We’re the tech folks making it easy to get your next car online. This is our (first ever) Newsletter where we’ll be sharing the latest from the tech team here at Cazoo. In our newsletters you can expect to hear about exciting events, internal initiatives, our proudest moments and more.?

In this edition, let’s call it our summer edition, we’ll be focusing on looking back over the past few months, as it’s our first newsletter there’s lots of exciting news to catch up on.

• Bob Gregory gave a keynote about Tech at Cazoo at the AWS Summit 2022 in London. Here’s a take on why Cazoo treats computing as a commodity like electricity.
• We’re thrilled at the line up Cazoo Tech Talks has seen, Charity Majors, Ben Ellerby and Domenico Musto have all joined us to host their own talk. Watch back on Crowdcast and be sure to join us for the next one where Oskar Dudcycz will be diving into Event Sourcing !
• Lead Agile Coach based in London, Nicola Sedgwick has been?invited to co-speak at Agile Testing Days 2022 taking place this November, we’ll be covering it so keep an eye out for updates.?

Feel Good Initiatives?

• Summer working hours have begun, meaning that from 4pm on Fridays we have more time to enjoy the summer throughout July and August.
• The team in Lisbon recently had their summer team building event where they took to the ocean to take part in team coasteering, snorkelling and swimming.
• On the topic of Portugal, our People team in Lisbon have been working on the sidelines to bring some natural beauty to the glorious roof terrace that has hosted many social events. Just take a look at the roof garden they’re working on with input from the team. If you’re based in Lisbon and have a tech focussed community event you want to host, get in touch with one of our HR team - we’ll be hosting many more events in Lisbon over the next few months.
• With all the great weather and summer in full swing in London the summer socials have been rolling in, too. Seeing team and office wide events taking place on the rooftop and many more IRL opportunities happening at HQ.
• The engagement team at Cazoo have been busy creating an amazing roster of new initiatives ready for launch. We're really excited about ‘Good News’ stories which will help to spotlight volunteering, charity and inclusion activity by highlighting employee stories that support this.
